‘Access-It’ refers to Access-It Software Ltd; Access-It Software (UK) Ltd; Access-It Software International Ltd. ‘Accessit’, in contradistinction to ‘Access-It’, refers to Access-It’s library product known as Accessit Library. ‘The customer’ and ‘the organisation’ refer to you as the customer and your organisation which has purchased or has a licence to use Accessit Library.

Access-It maintains data security, data protection and integrity standards to protect the privacy of individuals and for the purpose of dependable data transparency. The policies below include updates with respect to data security and privacy in general, and to the requirements of the GDPR in particular (see following).

1. What information is collected, where you can see it and the purpose of collecting it

Name and surname

You can access this information under your profile. Link to the profile

By storing name and surname we are able to identify and connect the user with their organisation.

These can be seen by Accessit Staff and by other users using this e-Learning platform if/when you post to the forum or comment on a blog.

Organisation and client code

You can access this information under your profile. Link to the profile

By storing organisation and client code we are able to identify the organisation the user is working for.

These can be seen by Accessit Staff only.

Country

You can access this information under your profile. Link to the profile

Storing a country code helps us to locate our users and assess the need for country specific content.

Email

You can access this information under your profile. Link to the profile

Email is used to recover your password and by Accessit staff to contact you.

Cookies

We use "cookies" as a technology to capture log data. When we use cookies or other similar technologies, we use session cookies (that last until you close your browser) or persistent cookies (that last until you or your browser delete them). For example, we use cookies to store your language preferences or other settings so you don't have to set them up every time you visit this e-learning platform.

Course completion

You can access this information under your profile. Link to the profile

Course completion helps us to follow the level of progress by an individual. For example, if most of our users do not finish our first course, we would start gathering feedback and working on improvements. We can also see where an individual may have gaps in their learning so we can better help them when they call our Help Desk.

Grades

You can access this information on your dashboard. Link to see your grades

Grades allow us to ensure we can follow the level of progress by an individual and hand out certificates.

Our e-Learning system does not require this additional information in order to work properly but you can choose to add additional information to your profile.

3. List of rights

As a user or as an organisation you have a right to ask for copies of data we are storing about you.

As a user or as an organisation you have a right to delete your user profile.

This e-Learning platform is only to be used by customers. If an organisation ceases to be a customer of Accessit then any individuals belonging to the ex-customer organisation may request to have their details purged from this e-learning platform.t. When purging happens, all data from an individual will be permanently removed from the system. Once purged, the data cannot be reinstated.

4. Terms of Use

By using the Accessit Library eLearning Centre ("ALeC"), you agree to the following:

Illegal Use
ALeC may not be used for illegal purposes. Examples of this include using ALeC for fraudulent purposes or attempting to phish other users (attempting to obtain account and password information).

Spam
Users that do not publish meaningful content, use deceptive means to generate revenue or traffic, or whose primary purpose is affiliate marketing, will be suspended.

Identity Theft and Privacy
Users that misleadingly appropriate the identity of another person are not permitted. Users may not post other people's personal identifying or confidential information, including but not limited to credit card numbers, Social Security Numbers, and driver's and other license numbers. You may not post information relating to your Accessit license/subscription, phone numbers, addresses, or your own or other user's account information; such as email address and passwords.

Hate Content, Defamation, and Libel
Hate speech and other objectionable content that is unlawful, defamatory, and fraudulent. Note that an allegation of defamatory expression, in and of itself, does not establish defamation. The truth or falsehood of a bit of expression is a key element in establishing defamation, and we are not in a position to make that sort of fact-based judgment. That said, if we have reason to believe that a particular statement is defamatory (a court order, for example), we will remove that statement.

Disruptions and Exploits
We will terminate any account and block addresses of those who attempt unauthorized use of ALeC or accounts that imitate an Accessit staff member.

Copyright
Using copyrighted material does not constitute infringement in all cases. In general, however, users should be careful when using copyrighted content without the permission of those who created it.

It is our policy to respond to notices of alleged infringement sent to legal@accessitsoftware.com that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA").

Content Use
Users warrant that they have the legal right to share any content they upload to ALeC. Proper attribution is required. Users will retain the intellectual property rights to any visual or written content shared within the community. However, by sharing content on the Accessit community platform users agree to giving Accessit license to display, alter, share, copy and replicate said content.

Sexually Explicit Material
Accounts that use the Community to post sexually explicit material, or links to it, will be suspended.

Inflammatory and Other Inappropriate Content

In addition to the foregoing, users are not permitted to upload content which is needlessly controversial (e.g. political content) or otherwise deemed by Accessit in our sole discretion to be inappropriate. We do not pre-screen cntent uploaded to ALeC and we do not endorse or promote any such content. We reserve the right to immediately remove any content which we determine to be potentially damaging, harmful, or disruptive. Edwiser UI theme

This is the provider of the theme, that is the ‘look and feel’ of the e-learning platform interface.

Access-It does not actively pass on or on-sell any personal information to third parties. It does however make use of third-party services (to facilitate customer management). Access-It makes use of these third-party systems in good faith, however it is the duty and obligation of such third- party providers to be bound and comply to their own data protection and privacy policy.

Google Analytics

We are using Google Analytics to help us learn how users interact with our content over an extended period of time.

8. Whether the personal data will be used for any automated decision making process, including the significance and details of the process.

We are able to see percentage of users using the Accessit e-Learning platform on a mobile/desktop or a tablet device. This helps us to change or add mobile supported content.

We are able to get data from sessions in which you send User-IDs and related data to Google Analytics. This view includes a set of Cross-Device reports.

We may share non-personally identifiable information publicly and with our partners – such as publishers, advertisers, developers or rights holders. For example, we share information publicly to show trends about the general use of our services.
